Knee Preservation Services
The goal of knee preservation is to preserve your natural knee joint and the funtion of your viable tissues: bones, cartilage, and ligaments, and delay joint replacement surgery for as long as possible.
Our knee preservation services include:
- Knee Arthroscopy
Knee arthroscopy may be recommended as treatment for the following conditions:- Torn Meniscus
- Ligament or cartilage repair
- Inflamed synovial tissue or removal of excess synovial fluid
- Knee fractures
- Knee Osteotomy
Knee osteotomies involve removal of a portion of bone from the knee joint to realign the knee, relieve pressure, or shift weight to the undamaged side of knee in patients with early stage osteoarthritis. - Meniscus Repair/Debridement
Torn meniscus can be traumatic as a result of a suddent twist of the knee or degenerative as a result of age and degenration of the cartilage of the knee. Treatment is usually done via arthroscopy and options include removal (meniscectomy), repair, or replacement.
Knee Arthroplasty Services
Arthroplasty is the surgical replacement of a joint or joint surface. Knee arthroplasty is usually recommended as a treatment for arthritis or injury after other non-surgical and surgical options have failed to substantially improve knee function. We perform total and partial knee replacements as well as revisions of previous, failed knee replacements.
