Research opportunities at the University of Washington Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine are almost endless. It ranks among the top departments in the country in terms of current NIH funding. Over thirty full-time faculty are involved in research projects covering all aspects of orthopaedics.
Third year residents are alloted a six week block dedicated to research. However, they are encouraged to participate in research during their other years of residency as well. All residents present their research at the annual Resident Research Days. For more information, please visit the Resident Research page.
