Dr. Eyre was named 2015 Inventor of the Year by UW Medicine.

Dr. Eyre is recognized by UW Medicine for his remarkable contributions that have enhanced our understanding of the underlying mechanisms of bone resorption and more specifically brought to market the osteoporosis diagnostic test Osteomark® NTx that measures accelerated bone loss through detection of collagen breakdown.

Inventor of the Year Award Ceremony

About Dr. David Eyre

Dr. Eyre leads the Colagen Biology and Genetic Disorders lab at UW Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.  He is the Director of the Burgess Chair Research Program, a professor of Orthopædic & Sports Medicine and the Ernest M. Burgess Endowed Chair for Orthopaedic Investigation.
