Bruce J. Sangeorzan, MD, vice chair of the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington, Seattle, has been named president-elect of the 2,027-member American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS). Sangeorzan will focus much of his 14-month term on strategic development of the Society, whose members specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system of the foot and ankle.
