UW Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Welcomes New Spine Surgeon, Dr. Kushagra Verma

Dr. Kushagra VermaWelcome Dr. Kushagra Verma!  Dr. Verma recently joined the University of Washington Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine's Spine service.

Dr. Verma joins us after completing a spine fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Verma is an expert in all disorders of the spine including pediatric and adult scoliosis.

Dr. Verma's Patient Philosophy

Dr. Verma involves patients and family members during clinic visits and prides himself on explaining the disease process, reviewing imaging with his patients, and providing all the resources needed to help his patients make an informed decision. 

Non-operative treatment is the mainstay of treatment and most spine problems are successfully managed without surgery. When surgery is considered, Dr. Verma likes to discuss the potential surgical options and develop a personalized surgical treatment plan together with his patients. Dr. Verma is especially enthusiastic when patients are actively engaged in their care.
