To the Graduating Class of 2021 Residents,

Congratulations! You have my deepest gratitude and admiration for your efforts over the past five years, particularly given the enormous societal and pandemic challenges of the past 17 months. You faced historical unprecedented circumstances with equipoise and persistence.

It is most exciting for me to contemplate what a positive force you will all be for social justice and equitable excellent healthcare for the rest of your careers. I know that the communities that you join, and the patients that you care for, will be in great hands while receiving compassionate and ethical care.

Best wishes and please keep in touch over the coming years,

Howard A. Chansky, MD
