Dr. Robert S. Clawson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical School and completed his internship at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He completed residencies in orthopedics at Louisiana State University, the Shreveport School of Medicine and George Washington University.
He has been practicing as an orthopedic surgeon at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center since 1974. He specializes in adult repair and reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow, foot and ankle; total hip and knee arthroplasty; knee arthroscopy and adult trauma surgery. Dr. Clawson has a strong interest in medical history. He produced “Harborview: The Trauma Story,” an account of the pioneering work in trauma care done at Harborview during the 1960s and 1970s.
